How to get to the Conference

  

 

From Belfast Central Bus Station

Great Victoria Street, Belfast

Head North along Great Victoria St/A1. Turn Right into Wellington Place/A1 and walk eastwards (approx. 5 mins) until you meet Belfast City Hall which will be located on your right hand-side. At City Hall, take a left onto Donegall Place and walk in a northerly direction (2 mins). At the Junction with Castle Street, continue on walking straight onto Royal Avenue for another 7-10 minutes. Royal Avenue veers towards the right which will lead you directly onto York St and the University of Ulster Campus.

 

From Belfast Central Train Station

East Bridge Street.

When you exit the train station, take a left and walk westwards down East Bridge Street until you meet the junction of Cromac Street (approx. 3 mins). Take a right at Cromac Street and head in a northerly direction along Cromac Street which will then become Victoria Street. Walk for a further 10 minutes. Take a left onto Warring Street and walk Westerly for 2 minutes before turning right onto Donegall Street. Walk for a further 2-3 minutes until St. Anne’s Cathedral appears on your right. University of Ulster Campus is located beside Cathedral.

 

Driving From Dublin

Take the M1 all the way into Belfast City (M1 becomes the Westlink at Belfast) until the M1/Westlink ends at the Junction of the M3 and take the right turn onto Nelson Street (travel for 300 metres)

Take the 3rd right onto Great Patrick St (travel for 110 metres)

Turn left onto York St (travel for 100 metres)

 

Arriving at George Best Belfast City Airport

The airport is located on the A2, Sydenham Bypass road between Belfast and Holywood, on the southern shore of Belfast Lough. Approved taxis operate from the airport taxi rank outside the terminal building

A shuttle bus service operates between the airport terminal and the adjacent rail halt at Sydenham. Please go to the information desk and ask for the service. You’ll be instructed to wait by the taxi rank where the shuttle bus will collect you.

Translink operates a rail service (0600-2300) Monday-Saturday to Central and Victoria Street Stations every 20 minutes. The service is hourly on Sundays (0900-2200).
Connections are available from Central Station to the rest of the rail network in Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic.

The Airport Express 600
The Airport Express 600 operates every 20 minutes from outside the airport to the Belfast Europa Bus Centre adjacent to the Europa Hotel, in the heart of the city. The service, Airport Express 600, operates between 0545 and 2125, and costs £2.20 single and £3.30 return.

The Airporter
The ‘Airporter’ service operates eleven coaches daily to Belfast City Centre (Waterfront Hall/Hilton Hotel Belfast) and Derry/Londonderry. The Airporter service includes free Wi Fi on board the coaches and tickets can be booked online in advance. The Airporter bus stop is located in the same bus shelter as the Airport Express 600 on the left hand side.

 

Arriving at Belfast International Airport

Airport Express 300 operates a 24 hour service between the airport and Belfast with buses departing every 15 minutes for the majority of the day on weekdays, with reduced frequencies at off peak times and weekends.  The bus leaves from the bus stop located opposite the terminal exit.

From the Airport to Belfast: All coaches will travel from Belfast International Airport, stopping at Templepatrick, Royal Avenue, and the Belfast Europa Buscentre.

From Belfast to the Airport: From the Belfast Europa Buscentre stopping at Templepatrick and Belfast International Airport.

Approximate journey time 30-40 minutes subject to traffic conditions.

Services are subject to withdrawal or revision in the event of flight cancellations or diversions and to alterations to Airline Schedules.  A special timetable may operate on Public Holidays.

Airport Express 300 departs Templepatrick approximately 7 minutes after Airport departure times.

The Airport Express 300 is operated by low floor vehicles.

Airport Express 300 Fares

Tickets are available from the tourist information desk in arrivals or from the driver.

Airport to Belfast: £7.50 (single) £10.50 (return)

Airport to Templepatrick: £5.00(single) £8.70 (return)

Templepatrick to Belfast: £3.40 (single) £6.10 (return).
